A Pony Named Remington

Our name comes from a very special pony—Remington. He was the dream that started it all.

As a 7yr old, a young girl began riding lesson horses and anything else her mom would allow. She soon set her sights on a pony of her very own. While Santa seemed to be running behind on pony deliveries, she got to work: mucking stalls, babysitting, pulling weeds, saving birthday money, and collecting gifts from generous grandparents. Slowly but surely, she built up enough to begin her search.

It wasn’t easy—there were disappointments, heartbreaks, and ponies who just weren’t the right fit. But then, she met him. Remington. He wasn’t perfect right away; it took months of patience and partnership. But when it clicked, it really clicked—and from that bond, the dream for something bigger was born.

Finding Our Home

The search for a farm was much like the search for that first pony—long, challenging, and full of twists. We knew we needed a place that could carry not just horses, but a vision: open pastures for grazing, trails for conditioning, and an arena where learning and laughter could happen side by side. When we found this property, with its rolling hills and quiet corners, we knew it was right.

Built in 2006 for Olympic eventer Amy Tryon, it carried with it a legacy of dedication, grit, and horsemanship. In 2023, we began a new chapter here, refreshing and re-energizing the land while honoring the history it holds. It stands as both a tribute to the past and a promise to the future of equestrian partnership.

Why We Built This Place

From the very beginning, our dream was never about ribbons or trophies. It was about creating a place where learning came before competing, and where every rider—no matter their age, size, or experience—felt valued.

We wanted a farm where respect for people mattered just as much as respect for the horse, and where peace, harmony, and partnership could grow year after year. The goal has never been to build an empire or to dominate the show ring, but to raise the bar in equestrian sports by nurturing a healthier, more inclusive approach.

Our hope is that Remington Farm enriches the lives of instructors, trainers, coaches, riders, kids, parents, and—above all—the horses who make this work possible.

Today, Remington Farm honors the scrappy determination of every kid (and adult) who dreams big,
works hard, and loves their pony with their whole heart.
