Our Riding Academy and Pony Club Riding Center are part of one integrated program. All students follow a curriculum based on the nationally renowned United States Pony Club (USPC) guidelines. We are licensed and certified through the USPC as a Pony Club Riding Center. This means we provide horses for students in our Academy and our Pony Club members, though everyone can haul their own horse in to participate.
We host certified Pony Club events, clinics, workshops, and certifications for local Pony Clubs to attend. While Pony Club membership is optional, it opens up additional opportunities for our students, such as specific Pony Club clinics, certifications that can go on your resume, and off property Pony Club events.
Nope! Students can enroll into Remington Farm Equestrian Academy without having a Pony Club Membership - we offer the same great education no matter what! Having a Pony Club membership just opens the student up to more opportunities, such as getting their USPC Level Certifications that can go on their resume, going to Pony Club sanctioned Clinics, Workshops and Competitions, having the chance to go to USPC Nationals, and being a part of a large community.
All students should book an Introductory Lesson so we can assess their horse handling and riding skills, match them with a lesson horse and an instructor appropriate for their level, and get them set up with a coupon for necessary riding gear.
Once students have attended their Intro Lesson, they can enroll in our Academy program, choosing how many days a week they would like to ride.
We offer lessons and programs for riders ages 2 and up, including adults. Each student is placed in age-appropriate and skill-appropriate level within our curriculum. Riders under 7 years of age will automatically start in our Basecamp level.
Not at all! We have a well-trained lesson horse herd.
However, riders with their own horses who are not a part of our Academy can participate through our Haul-In Membership program, while riders enrolled in our Academy can bring their personal horse for lessons and events at no additional cost.
We teach a variety of disciplines, including:
Dressage (English and Western)
Jumping (Hunt Seat, Jumpers, and Eventing)
Western Trail (Arena and Outdoor)
Horse Management (Classroom)
Groundwork Skills
Our curriculum reflects the multi-discipline approach of Pony Club, giving students a well-rounded foundation.

Riders should wear:
Long pants (leggings, breeches, or jeans — no shorts)
Closed-toe shoes with a small heel and smooth bottoms (like paddock boots)

A detailed welcome email will be sent once your lesson is booked!
As an additional reminder, it's a good idea to come to your lesson with a water bottle and to make sure you've had a snack or meal before arriving. Riding is hard work!
Local businesses that can help you find gear for your lessons are Coastal and Wilco.
Gift Horse Saddlery in Woodinville offers a one-time 10% off coupon for New Riders. Talk to your Instructor at your Intro Lesson to receive your coupon!
Our Riding Academy runs on a monthly tuition model with different options for weekly lessons, such as riding once a week, twice a week, and three times a week. Students can choose whichever option is best for them.
This FAQ will be updated soon.
Riders will have a mix of both depending on scheduling, instructor and lesson horse availability, as well as other riders in your level.
Beginner riders in Basecamp and Trailhead may have more private or semi-private lessons while they learn basic skills necessary to ride in a group safely.
Due to our strict schedule, we have limited availability to make-up a lesson if a student misses. We have a structured make-up policy to help accommodate missed lessons.
You can learn more about our policies at your Intro Lesson and get a copy of our policies to review in your registration paperwork.
Within your Release of Liability and Hold Harmless paperwork, we have a general Barn Rules document that you will need to review and sign. This will go over things like:
No running in the barn
No feeding horses
No smoking
Clean up after yourself
Be kind to everyone,
And so on.
Yes! We have competitive opportunities for both beginner and advanced riders through:
IEA Team (ages 9-18 or 21+ taking Hunt Seat lessons at any barn twice a week)
Show Team (for all ages with their own horse or partial leasing a school horse)
Participation typically requires a coach recommendation and consistent lesson attendance. Show Teams will be offered via coach and lease availability.
Absolutely! Starting 2026 we will be running seasonal Horse Camps, clinics, and workshops throughout the year. These are open to the general public as well as Academy and Haul-In members.
When students enroll in our Academy, they are signed up for our online Classroom for their curriculum level. It is a self-paced educational system, allowing students to sign in and view tons of online resources, videos and articles, and can complete the assignments, projects, and quizzes.
Some of the prerequisites for hands-on lessons, other requirements to pass a curriculum level, and advance to the next level are done online via this classroom. So this is an important component of our curriculum, and shouldn't be ignored.
An Open Arena session is a reoccurring weekly timeslot where riders can haul-in to use the facility to school their horses, and participate in add-on programs such as Show Team and Pony Club, Clinics, and every day lessons.
An Open Lesson session is a timeslot that an instructor has open and available for non-academy students to book and pay for a lesson.
When you sign up for a membership, you will be given access to our calendar to be able to review session availability and book your sessions.
All horses hauled in must have their vaccinations up to date, and must show their vaccination records to the barn manager prior to unloading. All riders are required to have a Release of Liability & Hold Harmless on file for the calendar year.
